Chateau Burgozone is a boutique family winery perched on the banks of the Danube river and surrounded by its 100ha of single vineyard. The winery is shaped and named after the ancient Roman fortress Burgozone and produces elegant PGI Danube Plain wines from international grapes as well as the indigenous grapes: Tamyanka and Gamza. The initiative was started 20 years ago and today the wines of Chateau Burgozone have become a benchmark for modern and elegant Bulgarian wines. Sustainability is at the core of Burgozone values and all the wines are made from hand-collected grapes with limited yield and are representative for the Danubian Terroir. The winery was nominated three times Golden Winery of Bulgaria by the Export Agency of the Ministry of Economy. Burgozone wines are exported in 24 countries on 4 continents and can be enjoyed in numerous Michelin star restaurants around the world. The winery is awarded with hundreds of medals from international wine competitions and famous as the Top6 producer of Viognier in the world, Top 6 Pinot Noir in USA, Most awarded Chardonnay on the Balkans and only Bulgarian wine amongst the Top 100 Best Buys in USA.
For nature lovers, Chateau Burgozone offers private and corporate visits and tastings in the Pavilion Belle Vue nested in the vineyards, where guests can enjoy an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views combining vines, the Danube river and Esperanto island.
